This class covers the specific methods/procedures and accounting systems used by Santa Barbara County (SBC) to conduct business. The class begins with a quick refresher of the basic concepts of government accounting as well as an in-depth discussion of the County's Chart of Accounts. Discussion will also include accounting processes following transactions from the beginning phase of completing accounting forms, selecting proper accounting classifications, and procedures for submitting forms for posting; a review of how accounting classification errors are corrected; and the basics of the Financial Information Network (FIN)
